Queen Rearing

We will be demonstrating 2 simple ways of raising a small number of queens which are suitable for members with just a few colonies.
Why not plan to produce some replacement queens from your best colonies rather than just trusting to luck?
This meeting is early enough in the year for you to try to raise some of your own queens this season.

Our Librarian, Chris Dale, will be bringing along to this meeting a number of books on the subject of queen biology, and raising queens, for members to borrow. It will also be an opportunity for those with books on loan to return them.
Details of the HBKA Lending Library are available on the website including all available titles. If you want to borrow a book at any time just get in touch with Chris. This service is free to members.
