Your annual membership to the Halifax and District Beekeepers Association includes the following benefits.
- A helping hand to beginners
- Access to friendly advice and guidance from very experienced beekeepers.
- Automatic membership of the British Beekeepers Association which provides help and support via your local bee inspector.
- Notification of and free inspection for any notifiable diseases discovered in neighbouring apiaries.
- Bee Disease Insurance (BDI) which provides cover for any equipment you may loose as a consequence of a notifiable bee disease. It only covers first 1-3 colonies. You need to purchase extra to cover the maximum number of hives you anticipate having at the peak of the season, including splits and swarms.
