Wax and Honey- Raising the Bar

The aim of this session is to help members prepare good quality honey and wax. All members are welcome but we hope it will be particularly helpful for those in their early years of beekeeping.

By the end of the session you will be able to present your honey and wax at a standard suitable for gifts, sale or showing.

We will cover:

• how to prepare and bottle honey
• the labelling requirements for selling honey
• how to prepare clean wax from cappings
• some simple methods of making candles
